The Policy Research Institute for Zakat Economy (PRIZE) is committed to involving youth in the journey towards building a just, zakat-based, and interest-free economic system in Pakistan. PRIZE believes that young people are central to shaping the future of our economy and aims to provide them with real opportunities to learn, engage, and lead.
Here are the key initiatives by PRIZE for youth across Pakistan:
PRIZE regularly organizes impactful events and competitions at the national level to promote critical thinking and encourage innovative ideas among youth. One such example is the National Article Writing Competition 2025, where students are invited to share their thoughts on transforming public finance and ending financial crises through a Zakat-based, interest-free system. These events give students the opportunity to be heard on national platforms, win awards, and publish their work.
Through this program, students from all academic backgrounds can become part of PRIZE’s mission. Volunteers gain hands-on experience in event organization, university coordination, public outreach, and program management. Selected Youth Ambassadors serve as PRIZE representatives at their campuses and communities, building leadership and communication skills.
Students of Finance, Business, Economics, and Islamic Studies can apply for internships and research roles at PRIZE. These interns work under the guidance of top economists and senior professionals, helping with publications, research papers, surveys, and event planning. These experiences greatly enhance students’ professional exposure and practical understanding of alternative economic systems.
PRIZE collaborates with universities and student societies to conduct awareness sessions, seminars, and workshops on zakat economy, interest-free banking, and economic justice. These activities provide students with direct access to expert knowledge and practical solutions being researched by PRIZE.
PRIZE’s youth programs are not limited to Economics or Finance students. Students from disciplines such as Political Science, Sociology, Management, Law, Islamic Studies, and Media can also benefit by learning how economic systems function, participating in field projects, and gaining organizational experience. It’s a unique chance to explore economics through real-world management and outreach.
By participating in PRIZE activities, students get the chance to build their CVs, meet mentors, network with leading researchers, and contribute to national dialogue. High-performing students may receive recommendations, publication opportunities, and future job prospects within the expanding network of PRIZE and its partner institutions.
PRIZE welcomes all energetic and passionate students to become part of Pakistan’s biggest youth-led movement for economic justice. Whether you’re interested in research, outreach, finance, or policy, PRIZE offers a place to learn, contribute, and lead. Let’s work together to rethink the way our economy works and help create a fairer, more sustainable future.
